Théâtre de Denain

Located on Place Auguste-Selle, the theatre is listed in the Historic Monuments Directory. Built in 1906 according to the plans of the architect Louis Six, the theatre is decorated in facade, in white stone, with sculptures, pilasters and columns and has a strictly symmetrical composition. The monumental sculpture representing the allegory of the theatre holding a laurel branch is the work of Edgard Boutry. This Italian-style theatre has a magnificent smokehouse decorated with beautiful murals.
