Musée Franco-Australien
9 rue du Victoria - 80800 Villers-Bretonneux
In the next days of the 1st world war, a small contingent of the Australian office(desk) of war graves bases itself in Villers-Bretonneux. The flourishing city is in ruins and to rebuild it, Australians and French people help each other in an international movement of solidarity which is translated in particular by the reconstruction of its school. The museographic route(course) allows us to include the construction of this French-Australian memory, by means of 4 sequences (report(memory) of the place, war report(memory), report(memory) of the men(people) and report(memory) of the city) illustrated by soldiers' personal objects but also by moving stories.
