Starting point envisaged by Napoleon 1st to conquer England, and place of a ceremony of discounts(deliveries) of more than 2000 crosses of the Legion of Honor on August 16th, 1804\. The Column of the Big(Great) Army highlights the period of the Camp of Boulogne in the epic poem of the First Empire and the enthronement of the Legion of Honor in the national symbolism. A museum presents historic elements bound(connected) to the site: Napoleon's bronze statue at the top of the Column, elements of archives. Top of the accessible(approachable) Column by an internal staircase.
