The house is the residence or castle of the commander of Sommereux whose preceptory included since 1312 the possessions of the former preceptory of the Templars of Neuilly. The Templar buildings were destroyed in the fifteenth century. except for a long cellar of the thirteenth century. vaulted with ribs with central pillars on which was built the existing building and a chapel of the twelfth century. raised on two vaults, lit by four large Gothic bays of the early fourteenth century.. The East facade presents twelve frames on a two-storey elevation with pilasters with capitals of the Ionic and Corinthian order surmounted by an attic with dormers with sculpted pediments. On the ground floor a room with a vault in a coffered basket and with a monumental fireplace is the former courtroom. The whole is in the spirit of the architecture of Philibert de l'Orme.
