The Louis Aragon Library, built in 1823, is part of the Bibliothèque d'Amiens Métropole network of 28 libraries. Classified as a library with a remarkable and precious heritage, it counts among its collections more than 2,500 manuscripts: Carolingian and medieval manuscripts, incunabula etc. It also houses the Charles de l'Escalopier Collection, offered to the city in 1866 by his widow and consisting of 6,000 prints, a hundred manuscripts and many art objects.
