The Jutier swimming pool is an old Roman swimming pool of the 2nd century, located in the basement with antique bleachers. It was filled with temperate water in which the Romans bathed after their steam bath in the Roman oven.
In 1857, mining engineer Jutier was commissioned by Napoleon III to undertake a vast excavation site in the basement of Plombières, in order to find the Roman catchments. He discovers a swimming pool that is part of the Gallo-Roman thermal complex. It is 10 metres long and 6.7 metres wide and was listed as a Historical Monument in 1980.
