External description: Plan in quadrilateral with courtyard and passage on court(yard) crossing the West wings and the East. Building(Ship) built in beige sandstone of Vosges on a plot of land in island, lined by the place(square) of the Republic in the South (eg. Kaiserplatz), the avenue of Peace in the East, the avenue from Vosges to the North and the street Louis Apffel on the West. The side wings the West is and were built as before on the avenue of Peace and street Louis Apffel. Detached houses(Flags) of angle. The main facade includes seventeen spans, among which five for the central forepart and one by detached house(flag) of angle. North wing, central forepart not restored postwar years. The front wall(pediment) cut out, which crowns the central forepart of the south wing, includes a radiant(shining) rocaille cartouche surmounted(overcome) by a seated female allegory and the god Mercury sat(based) on draperies. The central cartouche originates, was sculpted by the imperial eagle of the dynasty of Hohenzollern. Mercury and the female allegory were leant on Charlemagne's crown or crown of the Germanic saint Empire romain. Sommital crowning is a simple jewel(flagship) adorned with a laurel wreath and crown of oak-leaves today. On both(all) sides of the radiant(shining) cartouche, a press with grapes, a sheaf of wheat, bunches of grapes, a locomotive and a gear wheel represent the allocations(attributions) of old(former) Western Ministry, in particular Agriculture(Farming), Business(Trade) and Industry.
