About the location

Fort Metz Queuleu
Allée Jean Burger, 57070 Metz Queuleu
  • Moselle
  • Grand Est
The Fort de Queuleu remains one of the few witnesses of the fortified structures between 1868 and 1870 to defend Metz.
The Fort has been classified as a protected site since 1977 and offers in its wooded site a health route with a hilly route over 2.7 km. It has also been classified as a Historic Monument.
Initially covering 125 ha, its surface has been reduced to 47 ha. It is a place of SS internment camps during the Second World War: it contains the departmental memorial of resistance and deportation.
