The Houdreville Hotel, a remarkable 16th-century building, is unveiled through its cellars, the Renaissance staircase and the Mayor’s office.

Note that the Renaissance staircase will only be open from 2 pm to 2:45 pm, then from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm, since a wedding will take place on September 17.

The current town hall of Neufchâteau is an old(former) mansion rebuilt from 1578 till 1594 on a basement of the XVth century for a rich trader of grains(beads), Jean Mengin de Houdreville: decorated facade, rotating staircase dated of 1594, well of XVIÈ S. To discover: the staircase of Renaissance style, with its 5 landings (1594) and its ceilings decorated with geometric or plant motives (oak, vineyard(vine), olive tree) and cellars.
