The town is rich in archaeological remains.
Excavations carried out for the construction of the bypass have revealed a camp of the Roman army, and those carried out for the subdivision at the western exit of the village have revealed 46 ancient structures (pits, silos, ovens, cellars and a well) which attests to a presence from the Augustan period until the fourth century.
The medieval remains are more concentrated in the center of the village, there is in this period a church with its cemetery as well as a castle of the Low Middle Ages.
