The exterior restoration of the Collège Gilles de Trèves was honoured with the 2020 Heritage Ribbons Award.
Delayed because of the sanitary constraints of the last two years, the installation of the plaque will be unveiled by Mayor Martine Joly to launch this weekend.

Built by the dean of the collegiate church of Saint-Maxe, the architecture of the building is typical of the Lorraine style of the sixteenth century, influenced by the art and techniques of the Renaissance. In order to open a quality education to the young people of Barrois, Gilles de Trèves, decides to finance the construction of a middle-slope college between the Ville Haute and the Bourg. The Jesuits ran the establishment from 1617 to 1762, when their order was dissolved. A high school and then a girls' school in the 19th century, the building was a teaching place until 2002\. It has since undergone major restoration.
