Nid des épinettes
Rue Saint-Amé, 88370 Plombières-les-Bains
Founded in 1998, the association «L'épinette des Vosges», whose headquarters, «Au Nid des Épinettes», is located in Plombières-les-Bains, is dedicated to the preservation of spruce, a traditional popular instrument typical of the region.
Vosges spruce is a bumblebee zither, usually composed of 5 strings: 2 melody strings, called chanterelles, and 3 bumblebees.
This association seeks to preserve the instrument, both in its form and in the way it is played.
Among the members of this association, Marie-Claude and Pierre continue the tradition of spruce and continue research on its origins.
