In the XVIIth century s., Molsheim knew an unsurpassed development, as centre of Reform; in this title she received the religious orders of Strasbourg. The Jesuits created a middle school(college) there and asked the architect Christophe Wambser to raise(bring up) their church (1615-1617), dedicated in 1618\. This splendid sanctuary, in grip(taking) with Gothic and Renaissance, is the most important religious building built in Alsace in the XVIIth century s. He(It) shelters an organ J.A. Silbermann of 1781.
