About the location

The communal area contains some characteristic buildings.
The church, one of which is primitive, is cited in a document dated 758\. The current Romanesque heart is prior to 1157\. The first two bays of the nave and the seigneurial chapel, in the Gothic style, date back to 1530\. Perrin de Ludres was buried in 1534 in this seigneurial chapel and Laurent de Gourcy, owner of the castle, in 1785\. The third span of the nave and the bell tower date from 1771\. In 1844 the remains of Albert de Briey who died in 1136 were also transferred there.
The church houses an altarpiece of carved wood representing Christ surrounded by the apostles. This altarpiece classified as Historical Monuments probably dates from the second half of the sixteenth century.
In the heart, we see a wooden statue of Saint Martin, patron saint of the parish. This 18th century statue is the work of one of the members of the Greff family of sculptors whose workshop was located in Altwiss, Luxembourg. A copy of this statue
