Strong place in the Middle Ages, Montpoupon was transformed in the fifteenth century into a Renaissance residence. Owner since 1857, the Motte Saint-Pierre family was able to modernize the castle, in the 1920s, to make it a comfortable residence of the Loire Valley.
The castle, immerses you in the family intimacy of the owners through a free and sonorized visit in a fully furnished castle; from the kitchens to the dining room through the private apartments.
The commons make you discover the family’s passion for the horse and live it through stables, saddlery, artists' paintings and Squares Hermes.
A forest promenade is open in the castle park.
Access to the castle, the Veneur Museum and the park is at a reduced rate during the weekend of the Heritage Days, entertainment included.
