Castle of the counts of Blois became under Louis XII then François I royal castle. It gathers around the same courtyard, four castles, four eras, four peaks of French architecture: the Gothic of the thirteenth century with the Hall of States, the flamboyant Gothic and the introduction of the Renaissance of the late fifteenth century with the wing Louis XII, the Renaissance of the sixteenth century in the François I wing and finally the classical architecture of the seventeenth century of the Gaston d'Orléans wing. It was restored by Félix Duban in the 19th century. The 1st floor of the Louis XII wing houses the Museum of Fine Arts of the city of Blois since 1869\.
