Église Saint-Lubin
Place de l'Église, 28480 Chassant
- Eure-et-Loir
- Centre-Val de Loire
This small church bears traces of Romanesque construction: buttresses, small high windows to the apse, cornice where alternate white stone and grison. The recent refurbishment of the exterior coating has led to the discovery of small, very narrow openings surrounded by firedamp that testify to its very ancient origin. The eight Gothic windows, decorated with stained glass windows along the nave date from the 19th century. Since 1992, this sanctuary has benefited from an important exterior and interior restoration much appreciated by all.
