Since the 1990s, the FRAC Centre-Val de Loire has been building a singular identity around the constantly redefined relationship between art and architecture. 18,800 works, 800 architectural models and more than 16,000 drawings, the collection tells the story of visionary architectures of the 1960s, utopian and radical of the 1970s, deconstructivists of the 1980s, and constantly questions the relationship of artists to architecture and the city. Contemporary Japanese architects and the impact of digital technologies in architectural research constitute another part of the collection. Today, the intensification of its programme of actions outside the walls gives shape to a new territory, the "archipelago of the sensible", where new synergies are emerging between the works and between the places. In 2016, the FRAC Centre-Val de Loire inaugurated new measures that it plans to deploy in 2017, among them the "Bureau des cadres" with a view to extending the loan policy to private individuals
