The museum opens the doors of its stores and offers you to discover an exceptional collection, composed of 3500 costumes and stage accessories used by itinerant theatres from the middle of the 19th century until the end of the 1970s.
In a small group, you will discover the costume reserves and the restoration workshop, as well as the important conservation, inventory and valorization work carried out by the museum team for more than 25 years.

Unique(Only) in Europe, the Museum of Fairground Theatre proposes a walk across the four centuries of history(story) of travelling theatre, on the steps of Molière, of the commedia dell'arte and of removable theatres which livened up(led) in the past the French campaigns(countrysides). In a magical place presenting decorations(sets) of stage(scene), period costumes and accessories, the travelling actors enter last time on stage to make you discover the big(great) adventure of fairground theatre...
