Generous Earth belonging formerly to the powerful Lords of the House Grivel, Grossouvre was probably one of the cradles of metallurgy at about the XVth century. Strategical of observation and of connection between the old(former) provinces: Nivernais, Berry, Bourbonnais, Grossouvre will favour trade for centuries. A prospecting geophysics realised in October, 2004 allows to attribute(award) the meditative elements as well as deposits(fields) buried in Gallo-Roman time(period).
