Chapelle Notre-Dame de Kersaint
Kersaint, 29840, Landunvez
Kersaint, «village of the Saints», owes its name to the history of Saint Tanguy and Saint Haude, children of Gaion du Chastel, lord of Trémazan (see the ruins of the castle). In 1518, the chapel dedicated to Saint Haude was raised by the Chastels to the rank of collegiate served by six monks. For centuries the sanctuary of Kersaint was the object of great popular devotion, drawing pilgrims from all over the region, especially on the occasion of the Forgiveness of the Ascension and the Assumption (15 August).
