Performance welded to the Richardais
You ever hear of welding? Around the departmental Manoli collection, come and meet the collective “Les Frères Ailleurs” and its close-knit performances!
From the Museum to the banks of Rance, grinders, torches and other soldering stations transform scrap to better assemble them in artistic creations with different universes.
Participate! You are invited to leave your scrap for a new artistic life (small agricultural equipment, old tools, gears, etc.) at the Manoli Museum from September 12.
An introductory workshop will also be offered at the Museum on Sunday 18 September, from 11am to 1pm (€11/participant). In partnership with the Leroy-Merlin Pleurtuit-Dinard store, other workshops will be offered.

MANOLI was an authentic artist at once chief of traditional techniques and inventor of new techniques. His(Her,Its) work, unclassifiable by nature, crossed without adhering to it big(great) movements and trends(tendencies) of the 20th century. «Rare are the artists who take so the risk of leaving the domain where they excelled to dash(launch) into a new adventure», notes Robert Solé. Manoli is the author of many public works of which the monumental sculpture in the Faculty(Power) of Sciences, Paris (1976), the Big(Great) Sail at the Station Montparnasse, Paris (1992) and the liturgical furniture of the cathedral Saint-Corentin in Quimper (1999). The MANOLI museum workshop and garden of sculpture is in Richardais (Ille-et-Vilaine). More than three hundred works of art to be discovered in a green setting and case of traditional architecture.
