As part of the Coat An Doc'h development and development project, the Coat An Doc'h site will be exceptionally open to the public: 4 site visits with witness spaces are organized
1 heritage and architectural visit of 3 buildings (The Chapel, The Castle and the White House)
guided tours of the arboretum, traces still visible of the horticultural activity of the site since 1945

  • Visit of the Chapel:
    Discover its contemporary architecture, the work of Dom Paul Bellot, and currently being classified at the Historical Monuments
  • «Urbex & Orbex»:
    Go back in time and discover witness spaces (classroom, dormitory, bedroom...)
  • The arboretum:
    Enter a collection of botanical diversity of trees and shrubs from around the world, of varied ages and home to several remarkable ancient trees
    "Let’s do Coat!" will also be an opportunity to (re)discover the history of the site offering 23 hectares of natural and architectural space and project on the future of the site. Coat An Doc'h promises to be a laboratory for experimentation and innovation

Coat-an-Doch or Coëtando Castle (circa 1870), formerly owned by the Coëtando (or Coëtandoc'h) family
The site of Coat An Doc'h, property since April 2020 of Leff Armor community and seat of an Epide (Establishment for the insertion in employment, formerly Public Institution of insertion of the Defense, which welcomes young people without diploma or job at risk of marginalization) installed in 2006\. A redevelopment of this site of about twenty hectares is currently under study. Coat an Doc'h («the wood of the wild boar») is established on the lands of the former seigneury of Coëtando, where a castle was rebuilt in the 3" quarter of the 19" century for Francis Le Saulnier of Saint-Jouan. In 1935, his daughter Marguerite donated the property to the Salesians of Don Bosco (Society of Saint Francis de Sales), a congregation founded in Turin in 1859 whose educational vocation towards young people is expressed in the management of schools, mainly vocational, houses of social character and pa
