Chapelle Sainte-Suzanne - Sérent
Tréviet, 56460, Sérent
Chapel based(established) in the 16th century by the Lords of Tromeur. Chapel with unique(only) nave and with the chorus(choir) Flamboyant Gothic. Ordeal(Calvary) altar of the 17th century in five columns. In 1837, rests of frescoes representing stages(scenes) of crusade were discovered. Near(About) the chapel is an ordeal(Calvary) at table of offertory of the 17th century often confused(merged) with an ordeal(Calvary) altar. The believers(regular customers) had on these tables of offertories of donations in kind, not for the taxes of the clergy, but for the General, that is the advice(council) of the parishioners. Offered foodstuffs(commodities) were sold by auction and contributed to the enrichment of the heritage of the community. These monuments are a perfect evidence of collective participation in the constitution of the good(property) of the parish.
