As part of the European Heritage Days, the Louarnig Park opens its doors. Traditional Breton games and sports (boules, pucks, bowling and strength games) will have no secrets for you.
This Breton playful heritage is very rich, more than 95 games have been referenced throughout the Brittany Region. You can discover more than forty of them in the park. This heritage, of oral transmission, is perpetuated from generation to generation. The games are linked to a territory.
The 3500 m² park is located in Saint Gonnery (15 km from Pontivy) on the edge of the Nantes Canal in Brest, opposite the Hilvern lock. One part of the games is installed under the courtyard and the other in the open air.
Visitors can play independently. The rules of the games are set up nearby. The organization of a challenge between friends and family is also possible, and the passage on the podium for the photo of the winner is essential.

Louarnig Park, the lock of the Breton games, is a leisure park located in Saint Gonnery 15 kms from Pontivy, in Central Brittany, where you can discover the Breton playful heritage on a site of more than 3,500 m², on the outskirts of the canal from Nantes to Brest. This park was created by the Confederation FALSAB, the Confederation of Traditional Games and Sports of Brittany and offers more than thirty games Breton: games of balls, palets, bowling, and games of strength. The games are open to everyone, individually or in groups. Some are under shelter and others are outdoors. You can play it independently. Each game has its own rule.
