Tour du Connétable
rue des remparts, 56000 Vannes
Tower of the Connétable - 15th century - Rue des Remparts - Classified Historical Monument: 1927
Integrated into the eastern wall of the city, this majestic tower was thought during the expansion of the ramparts engaged at the end of the 14th century. However, its architectural features make it appear that it was carried out later during the reign of Duke John V (1399-1442) for Arthur de Richemont, the latter’s brother.
