Guided tour of the Chapel of the Holy Spirit
Former chapel of the 13th century, it was for several centuries the place of worship attached to the Hospital of the Holy Spirit, founded before the Hotel-Dieu. Like the famous Salle des Pôvres, the chapel has an inverted ship’s hull structure. It survived the disappearance of the hospital and served for a time in the housing of the infantry, before being transformed into a vat in the 20th century.
Its renovation by the Beaune & Pays Beaunois Tourist Office, to make it its administrative headquarters, offers it a new breath to enter the 21st century.
