- Côte-d'Or
- Bourgogne-Franche-Comté
Hotel de Chassey is a neoclassical style mansion in Chevigny limestone, located in the castle district of Semur en Auxois. Listed as a historical monument for its buildings and terraces. It was Jean Henri de Chassey, whose initials adorned the wrought iron railings, who had it built in 1745\. At the revolution, seized by the State, it served as a military warehouse and was left to the abandonment. Restored by Monsieur and Madame Bréon-Claret in 1875, they added their family emblem to the basket above the monumental portal of more than 2 tons. At the end of its first terrace one can admire one of the most beautiful views of the city and its collegiate church. Guided tour of the courtyard and gardens.
