Come and discover the Château de Montby!
12th century castle, besieged and devastated several times over the centuries. Regularly rebuilt, it currently offers a mosaic of different eras. The visitor can see the bases of a drawbridge, towers of defense, an enclosure wall, an inner courtyard, latrines, fire hydrants, etc. For 10 years the association "Friends of the Castle of Montby" restores this site. You can discover renovated room, stained glass, fireplace, mullioned windows, ... We offer free and/or guided tours (about 1h) and animations: a sketch tracing a historical period of the castle at 11am, 2pm, 4pm and throughout the day medieval dances, fights, stonemason, calligraphy, dowser, manufacture of wooden soldiers, games for children, watercolours of the castle, ... Snack bar and the unmissable Hypocras, old-fashioned waffles and small restaurants.
