Open door with art exhibition
ARKO, associative art gallery of law 1901 created in 1992, welcomes you on 17 and 18 September during the European Heritage Days, to make you discover this atypical place with a rich historical past as well as the exhibition of the painter and photographer Francis COLIN. Open to all audiences, free entry for young and old alike, the ARKO gallery will take you on a journey through the 12th century with the discovery of the architectural remains of the Saint Sauveur church, which disappeared in 1838. Listed in the inventory of historical monuments, this place preserves in its interior the vaults of stone, a column with a sculpted capital and a sundial of the former exterior facade of the church Saint Sauveur; and also the current facade of the site in stone dating from the middle of the 19th century. You can discover its history with stories and documents, as well as discover the SAINT SAUVEUR door and the SAINT SAUVEUR court. Francis COLIN will also be present to present his exhibition composed of a series of artistic photographs of the LAMBIOTTE factory of Prémery, industrial flagship Nivernais disappeared to date, exhibited on the floor of the gallery; then oil paintings on the ground floor.
