We know of a parish in Suilly-la-Tour, since the sixth century.
The parish church is built on the "plateau" of Suilly-la-Tour which dominates the valleys of Nohain in the north and Acotin in the south.
The present church, built from the end of the 15th century, is not the original building.
It follows on from another 12th century construction, which was itself built on older remains.
