Originally from the mining area and having practised a thousand trades, Pascal Michelot has been dedicated to the work of mother-of-pearl for nearly 20 years.

What interests him is the mother-of-pearl of the shells and only of natural color: black mother-of-pearl of Polynesia, yellow of Australia, white of Indonesia or blue of New Zealand.
Pascal Michelot created many objects: jewellery, lamps, sculptures and also developed an activity of restoration of objects that have suffered the outrages of time.
A rare craft to discover at the Rabut House, in the heart of the medieval site of Brancion.

La Maison Rabut, art gallery and artist residence. Nestled between the castle and the church of Saint-Pierre, the Rabut House is probably the oldest house in Brancion. Built in small roughly squared rubble and originally covered with lava, it could date back to the end of the 15th century. It is a "high and low" house, consisting of a storeroom on one level and on the first level of a single room, the "bedroom" in which are found a sink stone, small storage niches and a charming window with coussiège.
