With the help of a rich slideshow, M. Langrognet will present the vast tylological and artistic panel of fountains-wash houses built in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries in the Jura by highlighting the characteristics of style, construction, materials used.
Everyone will then be able to appreciate by looking at these monuments called "small heritage" emblematic nevertheless of the presence of a scholarly art within very many communes.
Ms Guyard, Director of the Jura Archives, will present the textual and figurative sources that can be consulted at the Departmental Archives to study the construction, maintenance and modifications of these buildings over time.
