Guided tour of the Château de Bon Repos
Built around 1470 at the beginning of the Renaissance, this pretty castle flanked by four towers dominates the valley of Jarrie.
Very little modified during its 5 centuries of existence, it has kept much of its original architecture, with its floors served by a single spiral staircase, its 4 towers, its cellars and its chapel, the altarpiece of which is now on display at the Dauphinois Museum.
Heavily degraded following the collapse of its roof in 1917, bought by the municipality of Jarrie in 1976, it is since 1978 restored and animated by the Association of the Castle of Bon Repos. The castle is included in the additional inventory of historical monuments and was awarded the Bern Mission in 2018 for the project of restoration of its roof.
