Built around 1470 at the beginning of the Renaissance, this pretty castle flanked by four towers dominates the valley of Jarrie.
Very little modified during its 5 centuries of existence, it has kept much of its original architecture, with its floors served by a single spiral staircase, its 4 towers, its cellars and its chapel, the altarpiece of which is now on display at the Dauphinois Museum.
Heavily degraded following the collapse of its roof in 1917, bought by the municipality of Jarrie in 1976, it is since 1978 restored and animated by the Association of the Castle of Bon Repos. The castle is included in the additional inventory of historical monuments and was awarded the Bern Mission in 2018 for the project of restoration of its roof.

This manor of campaign(countryside), protected in conformance with(for) Historic monuments, is compound(made up) of a rectangular main building flanked(thrown) by four circular tours(towers, ballots) in semi-ruins since 1918\. The castle of Good Rest seems just taken from a book which would tell the Story of the Middle Ages to children. He raises itself(draws itself up) on his field, at the end of his path(way), and makes about us dream, with his four towers combed(put on) by a pointed hat. His(Her,Its) general speed(look) almost did not change, in the course of his(her, its) five centuries of existence. He(It) always surprises the visitor who discovers him(it) on the Tray(Plateau) of Haute-Jarrie. Black and white photoes of the frescoes of 1480, disappeared after the fall of the roof in 1917 are exposed(explained) in the rehabilitated chapel. Unique(Only) in the region!
