Night tour led by a guide-speaker of the Pays d'art et d'histoire des Hautes vallées de Savoie - Facim Foundation. APPOINTMENT in the parking lot located just upstream of Fort Victor-Emmanuel. Impressive works, built at the beginning of the XIXth century, perched on a big(great) rocky bar(helm), five forts of the Barrier of Esseillon become French when the Savoy is attached in France in 1860\. Badly adapted to progress of the artillery, these forts are downgraded(displaced) in 1883, without ever having gone through the ordeal of the fire(light). Strong Victor Emmanuel is a member of a programme of promotion(valuation) and is decorated with a staged play route(course).
