Exhibition «Contemporary glass. Denise and Marcel Heider collection. With the exceptional participation of the Venier glassware of Murano»
The exhibition of the Maison Gribaldi presents this year an important selection of works from the collection of contemporary glass art Denise & Marcel Heider which is the subject of an important donation to the City of Evian.
This collection was initiated in the eighties. Today, it brings together more than 450 works by glassmakers, artists and designers, all techniques and all horizons combined. Open to the whole world, it is a beautiful tribute to glass creation in all its diversity and complexity.
Filled with the complicity, energy and sensitivity of the Heider couple, and their taste for culture, the collection reflects a spirit, a vision, a relationship to the world, made of trips and meetings with creators and wise advisors. But the collection is also based on many other orientations and intimate choices that make its identity: elective affinities, support for artists, work in harmony between works, lifestyle and habitat, and some plastic and aesthetic leitmotifs such as figuration, humour, philosophy, poetry, desire, among others...
The exhibition of the House Gribaldi allows to go further in the unveiling of this important collection which also opens to dialogue with the presence this season of one of the most important contemporary glassware of Murano, the Venier glassware, who, out of friendship for the collector, has agreed to present to Evian works by their great glass master Luca Vidal.
