Visit accompanied with the residence of the ambassador of Spain. The old(former) Berthier de Wagram hotel is built en1869 by the architect Delestrade. The Kingdom of Spain acquires it on November 6th, 1920 to instal(settle) its diplomatic Representation there.
4 groups of 20 people.
Departures: 10 h, 10 h 30, 11 h 00, 11 h 30. Duration of visit: 20 minutes.

The former Hotel Berthier in Wagram, which now houses the residence of the Spanish Embassy, was built in 1869 by the architect Delestrade. The Kingdom of Spain acquired it on 6 November 1920 to establish its diplomatic representation there.
The architect Walter-André Destailleur carried out important restoration and modernization work there. Prestigious artists such as the painter José María Sert and the sculptor Mariano Benlliure, as well as the best craftsmen in Spain, such as those from the Real Fábrica de Tapices, were used for this work. Works of Royal Heritage are donated by the King.
Inside, the rich decorations are complemented by a fine collection of works of art, furniture and paintings from the 16th century to the 20th century, portraits of King Charles II and his wife, Queen Marie-Anne of Neubourg and King Philip II by Pantoja de la Cruz as well as tapestries after cartons of Goya.
