This museum, installed(settled) at the heart of a cultural pole(centre) also including a media library and a house youth and culture, proposes a journey at the heart of the Prehistory. He(It) redraws the life of the men(people) in the Palaeolithic, across their environment, their lifestyle, their technical and artistic know-how. He presents an exceptional collection of inscribed stones of animals and of human beings treated in a realistic way, dating about 14 000 years. It also offers an external route(course) punctuated with explicative totems allowing to discover in the course of a stroll to feet four prehistoric sites of which the famous cave of The Marche(Walking), classified as "Historic Monument".
