The basilica Notre-Dame of Zion(Sion) is a centre of devotion to the Virgin(Virgo) of the Duchy of Lorraine where the dukes came on pilgrimage. The chorus(choir) is built by 1308 and the apse in the XVth century. The nave is extended in 1741 and the tower is finished(ended) by 1870 by the architects François Lamorre and Léon Vautrin. In 1871, is set up the monumental statue of the Virgin(Virgo) melted in the workshops(studios) of Vaucouleurs.
