Stone constructed building of Jaumont from 1776 till 1791 by the architect Charles-Louis Clérisseau to accommodate in it the military governor of the province. Under Revolution, he(it) serves as seat(siege) to the administration of the department then of revolutionary court. He(It) becomes Law courts in 1812\. It is the seat(siege) of the courts of the municipality of Metz today as well as of the Court of Appeal of Metz.
