Die Abtei von Landévennec wurde um das Jahr 500 gegründet und 1792 während der Revolution aufgegeben. In den 13 Jahrhunderten ihres Bestehens wurde sie mehrmals, im Schnitt alle zwei Jahrhunderte, wieder aufgebaut. Bei einer dieser Umbauten im 13. Jahrhundert wurde sie in eine echte Burg mit Türmen und Bollwerk umgewandelt, die ein besonders raffiniertes Kloster schützten. Obwohl heute nur noch einige wenige sichtbare, wenig spektakuläre Elemente vorhanden sind, haben alle während der archäologischen Ausgrabungen gesammelten Hinweise dieses einzigartige Kloster rekonstruiert.

The Abbey of Landévennec was founded around the year 500 and abandoned during the Revolution, in 1792. During its 13 centuries of existence, it has been rebuilt several times, every 2 centuries on average. During one of these renovations, in the 13th century, it was transformed into a real castle, with towers and ramparts, which protected a particularly refined cloister. If only a few visible, unspectacular elements remain today, all the clues collected during the archaeological excavations have nevertheless made it possible to reconstitute this unique abbey.

L'Abbazia di Landévennec è stata fondata intorno all'anno 500 e abbandonata alla Rivoluzione, nel 1792. Nel corso dei suoi 13 secoli di esistenza, è stata ricostruita più volte, in media ogni due secoli. Durante una di queste ristrutturazioni, nel XIII secolo, è stata trasformata in un vero e proprio castello-fortezza, con torri e bastioni, che proteggevano un chiostro particolarmente raffinato. Se oggi ne rimangono solo alcuni elementi visibili, poco spettacolari, l'insieme degli indizi raccolti nel corso degli scavi archeologici hanno tuttavia permesso di ricostituire questa singolare abbazia.

L’Abbaye de Landévennec a été fondée vers l’an 500 et abandonnée à la Révolution, en 1792. Au cours de ses 13 siècles d’existence, elle a été reconstruite à plusieurs reprises, tous les 2 siècles en moyenne. Lors d’un de ces remaniements, au XIIIe siècle, elle a été transformée en un véritable château-fort, avec tours et rempart, qui protégeaient un cloître particulièrement raffiné. S’il n’en reste aujourd’hui que quelques éléments visibles, peu spectaculaires, l’ensemble des indices collectés au cours des fouilles archéologiques ont toutefois permis de reconstituer cette abbaye singulière.

La abadía de Landévennec fue fundada hacia el año 500 y abandonada durante la Revolución francesa, en 1792. Durante sus 13 siglos de existencia, ha sido reconstruida varias veces, cada 2 siglos en promedio. Durante una de estas remodelaciones, en el siglo XIII, se transformó en un verdadero castillo-fortaleza, con torres y muro, que protegían un claustro particularmente refinado. Si bien hoy solo quedan algunos elementos visibles, poco espectaculares, el conjunto de los indicios recogidos durante las excavaciones arqueológicas han permitido reconstituir esta singular abadía.
