Meeting with the poet Samira NEGROUCHE

MEETING WITH THE POET SAMIRA NEGROUCHE
Friday 28 March at 6:30 pm
to the Day of the Books
Samira Negrouche is a major voice of Algerian poetry. She was first a doctor before dedicating herself to poetry. Author, translator, essayist, playwright, she writes in magazines, collective books and collaborates with artists of all disciplines (music, dance, theatre).
She has published some fifteen books, two of which in 2023: “J'habite en mouvement” (ed. Barzakh) an anthology composed of poems written between 2001 and 2021; and “Stations” (ed. Chèvre-feuille étoilée) a hybrid work consisting of unpublished texts, essays, correspondences, of poems written over twenty years. These two publications reflect his work: abundant, multifaceted. His prose and verse texts bear witness to his reflections. Her journey as an author is built from a genealogy, a heritage (family, poetic, historical). When reading the texts of Samira Negrouche, a move is made to better «inhabit the world».
This meeting organized by the federation of bookstores in Brittany and thanks to the support of La Maison de la Poésie in Nantes, will intermingle readings of excerpts and an interview with Samira Negrouche, around her last two publications.
