CELTOMANIA

For the 3rd year running, Batz-sur-Mer is taking part in CELTOMANIA. This highlight of Breton and Celtic culture in the Loire-Atlantique region covers all artistic genres: concerts, storytelling, shows, documentaries, exhibitions, authors, etc. The 34th edition will take place from 29 September to 26 November 2023 in 21 Loire-Atlantique towns, including Batz-sur-Mer (full programme at www.celtomania.fr).

Teoran ("Border" in Irish Gaelic) is first and foremost a meeting, a story of friendship, a family affair. It's the meeting of four musicians in the vineyards of Nantes: Mathieu JUTEL on bass, Irishman Éric KEMP on guitar, all to the rhythm of Sébastien CLOASTRE's cajòn, which resonates under Xavier CHAPRON's violin strings. For 7 years now, Teoran has been inspiring the Nantes region with its Irish sounds, from the cellars of Clisson to the Nantes-Brest canal, via the Tournoi musical du Vignoble nantais. The members of this Gaelic rock-folk group are influenced by many things. Whether covers or compositions, Éric KEMP's songs tell his story: his life in Belfast, illness, boat trips along the rivers... A real musical journey to Ireland!
