The exhibition ‘Ferdinand Hodler. Profession de foi’, which will run at the International Museum of the Reformation (MIR) from 25 September 2026 to 24 January 2027, will give us the opportunity both to revisit Schoenberg’s absolute masterpiece, La Nuit transfigurée, and to discover how the painter made the idea of creation his own when applied to nature. In a similar vein, the Lebanese-Armenian composer will immerse us in a poetic world steeped in slowness and movement, gentleness and veiled violence, which will inevitably bring to mind certain characteristics of the Genevan painter.

L’exposition « Ferdinand Hodler. Profession de foi » qui se tiendra au Musée International de la Réforme (MIR) du 25 septembre 2026 au 24 janvier 2027 nous permettra à la fois de revisiter ce chef-d’œuvre absolu qu’est La Nuit transfigurée de Schoenberg, et de découvrir la manière dont le peintre a fait sienne l’idée de création lorsqu’elle est transposée sur la nature. En résonance, la compositrice libanaise et arménienne nous plongera dans un univers poétique pétri de lenteur et de mouvement, de douceur et de violence voilée, qui ne sera pas sans évoquer certaines caractéristiques du peintre genevois.
