A walk through the mountain flora of the world - rendezvous in the Brockengarten
This year’s motto could hardly be more suitable for the Brockengarten. A colourful variety of around 1500 plant species from the world’s high mountains awaits visitors on a tour in the Alpinum.

The Brockengarten, on the rugged climate-influenced, forested top of the 1,141 m high Brocken, is a botanical highlightThe botanical garden was founded in 1890 and is one of the oldest among the special alpine and arctic gardens in Europe. Today visitors find around 1500 plant species from all the high mountains of the world, all botanical treasures, many of them threatened and rare, in the garden.
The Brocken itself also offers a remarkable native flora, for whose protection and preservation the Brockengarten plays an important role. Accompanied by a national park employee, you will take a tour of the jewel and learn interesting facts about the flora of the garden as well as the nature and history of the Brockens.
