The park of the castle of Vizille, located in the valley of the Romanche was designed in the 17th century as a garden of pleasure by the Duke of Lesdiguières. Punctuated by a curved canal ended by a waterfall and many streams and canals, the estate of 100 hectares offers to the visit a rose garden, a square of scents (aromatic) and beyond an English park of forty hectares, with vegetable essences, varied is organized around large mails of plane trees that delimit meadows and clearings. Rose garden, contemporary Renaissance-inspired parterre, mineral forecourt and green room. An animal park of sixty two hectares occupies the bottom of the valley.
