The Electric Factory: a story that begins in 1904\. It was at its meeting on 20 November 1904 that the Municipal Council of Allauch unanimously adopted the draft convention linking the Commune to the Electric Power of the Mediterranean Coast, aiming to install a plant in our territory. It was to allow the installation of a municipal electrical network that was to replace the old oil streetlights. It was at the end of the summer of 1906 that the factory entered into service. The establishment ceased to function in 1960\. The new Cultural Center dedicated to culture in all its forms was inaugurated in October 2024 at the foot of the hills. Allauch thus held its objectives: to safeguard the heritage of Allauch and perpetuate its cultural development by transforming this former industrial wasteland into a mecca of art that will host, in 2027, the future Marcel-Pagnol Museum.
