The Maritime Museum offers three visit areas where you can dive into an exciting marine world. Step under the colourful pavilions of the museum and discover the different exhibition spaces that trace the maritime history of La Rochelle. Among the eight ships in the heritage fleet, you can board some iconic boats such as France 1\. Alongside this meteorological frigate, the Angoumois illustrates the period of industrial fishing and the Saint-Gilles, the peculiarities of tugs.
On the same docks, the Joshua, the Manuel-Joël, the Captain of Frigate Leverger (SNSM canoe) as well as exceptional private classic yachts offer visitors a unique experience. The interior hall in the former Encan exhibits a unique collection in France of small boats and currently you can find a large exhibition «Ocean Climate».
