The International Museum of Naïve Art Anatole Jakovsky brings together a unique panorama in the world of the history of naive painting from the 18th century to the present day.
It was installed in the former residence of perfumer François Coty, the Château Sainte Hélène, surrounded by a large park with the rarest essences. An intimate and familiar setting to welcome a little-known art, called «naive» because spontaneous, individual favoring the inner vision of the painter, who invites each visitor to an imaginary journey.
Paintings, sculptures, drawings, posters, retrace the evolution of this art through the works of the most famous: Bauchant, Bombois, Vivin, Séraphine, Rimbert, Lefranc, Rabuzin, Ivan and Josip Généralic, Lackovic, Grandma Moses, O'Brady, Haddelsey, Ligabue, Vivancos, Customs Officer Rousseau. A deposit at the Centre Pompidou further enriches this collection with works by Bombois, Bauchant, Vivin, Séraphine, Rimbert ...
