Von Malherbe über Corneille, Flaubert, Maupassant, Proust und Colette bis hin zu Annie Ernaux pflegt die Normandie seit mehreren Jahrhunderten eine besondere Beziehung zur Literatur.
Heimat vieler bedeutender Schriftsteller, darunter mehrere Nobelpreisträger für Literatur, sie war auch ein Ort der Gastfreundschaft und Inspiration für Autoren, die sich hier niederließen oder dort ihren Aufenthalt verbrachten. Normannische Städte, Badeorte, Landschaften und ländliche Gegenden haben so die Phantasien genährt und ihren Platz in zahlreichen Werken gefunden.
Auf einer Reise durch vier Jahrhunderte der Literatur wird Philippe Normand die Verbindungen dieser Schriftsteller zur Normandie und die Art und Weise, wie ihre Orte, Landschaften und ihre Identität ihre Inspiration und ihr Werk geprägt haben, beleuchten.
Philippe Normand ist Autor mehrerer Bücher, die sich vor allem der literarischen Identität der Städte widmen und Präsident von Normandie Livre & Lecture. Ehemaliger Kulturdirektor der Stadt Deauville und der Franziskanerinnen, deren Kulturberater er heute ist. Seit vielen Jahren engagiert er sich für das Wissen und die Verbreitung des normannischen kulturellen und künstlerischen Erbes.

From Malherbe to Annie Ernaux, via Corneille, Flaubert, Maupassant, Proust or Colette, Normandy has maintained for several centuries a privileged relationship with literature.
The homeland of many major writers, including several Nobel Prize winners in literature, it was also a land of welcome and inspiration for authors who came to stay or settle there. Norman cities, seaside resorts, landscapes and countryside have thus fed the imagination and found their place in many works.
Through a journey into four centuries of literature, Philippe Normand will evoke the links that unite these writers to Normandy and the way in which their places, landscapes and identity have shaped their inspiration and work.
Author of several books devoted notably to the literary identity of cities, Philippe Normand is president of Normandie Livre & Lecture. Former cultural director of the City of Deauville and the Franciscans, of which he is now a cultural advisor, he has worked for many years to promote knowledge and influence of the cultural and artistic heritage of Normandy.

Da Malherbe a Annie Ernaux, passando per Corneille, Flaubert, Maupassant, Proust o ancora Colette, la Normandia mantiene da diversi secoli un rapporto privilegiato con la letteratura.
Terra natale di numerosi scrittori importanti, tra cui diversi premi Nobel per la letteratura, è stata anche una terra di accoglienza e di ispirazione per gli autori venuti a soggiornarvi o a stabilirvisi. Città normanne, località balneari, paesaggi e campagne hanno così alimentato l'immaginario e trovato il loro posto in numerose opere.
Attraverso un viaggio in quattro secoli di letteratura, Philippe Normand evocherà i legami che uniscono questi scrittori alla Normandia e il modo in cui i suoi luoghi, i suoi paesaggi e la sua identità hanno plasmato la loro ispirazione e la loro opera.
Autore di diverse opere dedicate in particolare all'identità letteraria delle città, Philippe Normand è presidente della Normandie Livre & Lecture. Ex direttore culturale della città di Deauville e delle Francescane, di cui è oggi consigliere culturale, lavora da molti anni per la conoscenza e l'influenza del patrimonio culturale ed artistico normanno.

De Malherbe à Annie Ernaux, en passant par Corneille, Flaubert, Maupassant, Proust ou encore Colette, la Normandie entretient depuis plusieurs siècles une relation privilégiée avec la littérature.
Terre natale de nombreux écrivains majeurs, dont plusieurs prix Nobel de littérature, elle fut aussi une terre d’accueil et d’inspiration pour des auteurs venus y séjourner ou s’y installer. Villes normandes, stations balnéaires, paysages et campagnes ont ainsi nourri les imaginaires et trouvé leur place dans de nombreuses œuvres.
À travers un voyage dans quatre siècles de littérature, Philippe Normand évoquera les liens qui unissent ces écrivains à la Normandie et la manière dont ses lieux, ses paysages et son identité ont façonné leur inspiration et leur œuvre.

Auteur de plusieurs ouvrages consacrés notamment à l’identité littéraire des villes, Philippe Normand est président de Normandie Livre & Lecture. Ancien directeur culturel de la Ville de Deauville et des Franciscaines, dont il est aujourd’hui conseiller culturel, il œuvre depuis de nombreuses années à la connaissance et au rayonnement du patrimoine culturel et artistique normand.

Tierra natal de muchos escritores importantes, entre ellos varios premios Nobel de literatura, también fue una tierra de acogida e inspiración para los autores que vinieron a quedarse o instalarse allí. Ciudades normandas, balnearios, paisajes y campos han alimentado los imaginarios y encontrado su lugar en numerosas obras.
A través de un viaje por cuatro siglos de literatura, Philippe Normand evocará los vínculos que unen a estos escritores con Normandía y la forma en que sus lugares, sus paisajes y su identidad han dado forma a su inspiración y su obra.
